New Pool: Pearl (PRL)
We added a pool for Pearl (PRL), one of the more interesting launches of the year. Pearl is a GPU-mined coin with a twist: instead of wasted hashing, miners run real AI-style matrix math on Nvidia and AMD cards (proof-of-useful-work). It is already live on 2Miners — both POOL and SOLO.
- Algorithm: PearlHash
- Miner: SRBMiner-MULTI
- POOL: prl.2miners.com:1818
- SOLO: solo-prl.2miners.com:1919
- Password: x
Check profitability on 2CryptoCalc and start on the PRL pool or PRL SOLO. A full deep-dive guide on Pearl is coming soon.
Zcash (ZEC) Emergency Upgrade: Orchard Vulnerability Fixed
June brought the most important Zcash event in years. A soundness flaw was found in the Orchard shielded-pool proof circuit that could, in theory, be used to counterfeit ZEC inside the shielded pool. The privacy of existing funds and the 21M supply cap were not affected, and there is no evidence the flaw was ever exploited — but it required an immediate, coordinated fix.
Zcash developers, together with key network participants, responded in two phases:
- Soft fork (June 2) — temporarily rejected all Orchard transactions to freeze the risk.
- Hard fork NU6.2 (June 3) — re-enabled Orchard with a corrected circuit and a new verifying key. Node version 6.20.0 supports NU6.2.
What it means for miners on 2Miners:
- Our ZEC node is updated to 6.20.0 — a mandatory upgrade for anyone running a node.
- Equihash mining was unaffected and operated normally throughout.
- Payouts were suspended for a short time during the soft-fork window (shielded funds could not be moved) and have since resumed.
- No wallet or address changes are required.
The upgrade is complete and the network is being closely monitored. Mining continues on the ZEC pool and ZEC SOLO.
Node Updates
We also refreshed several coin nodes this month.
Beam — 7.5.14492 (HF6)
Beam shipped its sixth hard fork (“HF6”) as an emergency network upgrade. This is a node/consensus change — BeamHash III mining is unchanged, so your rigs keep working; only the node needs updating. We have updated our BEAM pool node to stay on the canonical chain.
Rusty Kaspa — v2.0.1
We updated our Kaspa node to Rusty Kaspa v2.0.1, the recommended release around the Toccata hard fork. Mining (kHeavyHash) is unaffected; the update improves node sync and operator tooling.
Ergo — 6.0.3
The release candidate we tested in May has shipped as stable 6.0.3. The most relevant change for miners: the node no longer tries to mine while it is still syncing, which avoids wasted, invalid candidates. It also fixes the mining-candidate cache for custom public keys and brings general sync and mempool improvements. Live on the ERG pool.
CKB — 0.207.0
A routine minor release with no consensus changes — maintenance and housekeeping only, with no action required from miners. Eaglesong mining is unchanged. Available on the CKB pool and CKB SOLO.
Kaspa (KAS) Block Reward Reduction
As defined by the Kaspa Tokenomics and its smooth monthly emission schedule, Kaspa underwent another scheduled block reward reduction in June.
- Previous Reward: 2.75 KAS
- New Reward: 2.596 KAS
Please pay attention! Kaspa mining profitability has changed. We have already updated 2CryptoCalc to reflect the new reward values. Mining is available on the KAS pool and KAS SOLO.
Neoxa (NEOX) and Cortex (CTXC) Delisting
We have discontinued pool and SOLO operation for Neoxa (NEOX) and Cortex (CTXC). The last payments for both coins have been processed.
If you were mining NEOX or CTXC, we recommend using 2CryptoCalc to find the most profitable coins for your hardware and point your rigs there.
